Elegant and contemporary café

In the sumptuous setting of the recently renovated pavillon Dufour, ore – Ducasse au château de Versailles is an elegant French contemporary café during the day and an exceptional restaurant at night for privatization.

The design has been thought in compliance with the overall structure of the building by the architect Dominique Perrault and by the chef Architect of the Palace of Versailles, Frédéric Didier. Its development is conducted with an absolute adherence to the entire site with reminders of the Sun King's splendor and many contemporary reinterpretations of historical decorative themes developed by Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost.

During the opening hours of the Palace, the restaurant ore is open to the public.
ore is the Latin word for mouth. Alain Ducasse thus refers to the pleasures of the mouth, important to French art de vivre and particularly in Versailles, to the services of the bouche du Roi, whose duty was preparing the meals served at court.

In the tradition of the café, this venue is capable of satisfying varied public’s wishes and suggests different experiences throughout the day around three main moments: Breakfast, Lunch and Teatime.

On the menu, the great classics of French cuisine are suggested, alongside light and quick snacks, desserts and gourmet pastries. A special menu “Prince & Princess” is also available for the younger guests.

To live a beautiful experience at the Palace of Versailles, exclusive offers are available. These offers allow you to have a gourmet moment, for Breakfast and Lunch at the restaurant ore, and a direct access to the Palace.

In the evening, Ducasse au château de Versailles becomes an exclusive dining experience. As the Palace slowly empties itself, the restaurant becomes a stage for grand dinners and exclusive events.
